
Dr. Tate Gentile is a Colorado native. He did his undergrad in Exercise and Sports Science at Oregon State University, where he played soccer for the Beavers. He graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in 2007 where during his last trimester of school he had the opportunity to pioneer a clinic with the Costa Rican Olympic Committee. Upon graduation, he moved to Fort Collins, CO where he owned and operated his practice for 8 years. Dr. Gentile loves seeing children, pregnant mamas, but most importantly full families. From 2015-2019, he was on faculty at Sherman College of Chiropractic as an Associate Professor of Clinical Sciences. During this time at the leading chiropractic school in the world, he taught a variety of technique and analysis classes, and published research. In his free time, you can find him playing outside, camping, fishing, working in the garden, and doing Crossfit.
Dr. Tate is the only Certified Pediatric Chiropractor on the Big Island of Hawaii. He is certified through the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics, which is recognized by the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. In addition, Dr. Tate teaches a 4 hour online module for the ICPA entitled “Measure What Matters” for chiropractors all over the world.

Dr. Kate Gentile is an Arizona native. She graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. degree in International Business, concentrating in Financial Management. She went on to work in herbal medicine, the mountain bike industry, and became a yoga instructor before finding her true passion – Chiropractic.
Dr. Kate graduated from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Sherman College is the preeminent Chiropractic College training doctors in specific, subluxation based chiropractic. Through out her time at Sherman she was involved in clubs that served to broaden the reach of principled chiropractic internationally.
She is extremely passionate about the power of Upper Cervical work and has seen it transform her own life and the lives of her patients. “To be a catalyst for helping my patients’ rediscover and trust the infinite healing wisdom of their body is such a privilege. I love sharing the message that healing comes from within while serving my community through specific chiropractic care.” Her passion for her work has lead her through out Central and South America where she has served on chiropractic mission trips, providing Upper Cervical Chiropractic to underprivileged communities.

At Atlas Specific Spine Center, we focus on the root cause of symptoms and enable the body to better heal itself, as it was brilliantly designed to do. Our mission is to restore full brain to body connection by clearing the brain stem of interference allowing our community to live their highest life expression. Through education and specific chiropractic adjustments, we will raise the consciousness of our community, restoring hope and inspiring patients to take great care of themselves, one another and our Island.
Our Technique
Drs. Tate and Kate are two of only 1200 Upper Cervical Specific Chiropractors in the world. They have both completed advanced postdoctoral certification in Upper Cervical Specific Care through the Knee Chest Society. They focus on working with full families, but also those that have lost hope and have tried everything to regain their health with little success. They work with various neurological and chronic health conditions. They have seen great success with conditions such as: Migraines, Digestive problems, Diabetes, Trigeminal Neuralgia, Multiple Sclerosis, Seizures, Meniere’s Disease, Depression and Anxiety, Fibromyalgia, and autoimmune disorders such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Raynaud’s, and more. In addition, they both are certified in the Webster Technique, a specific analysis and adjustment used for pregnant women.
